Report Card Night paired with a half day for students is a standard scheduling setup designed to give teachers time to prepare for and host parent conferences.
How the Schedule Works
For Students: School finishes early (typically around 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM). There are shortened class periods, and afternoon classes are generally canceled.
For Teachers: The afternoon gives teachers time to finalize grades, set up classrooms, and prepare for meetings before parents arrive.
Evening Schedule: Report Card Night (or Parent-Teacher Conferences) takes place in the late afternoon or evening so working parents can attend.
