Spring Break is a week-long school recess that usually takes place during the 4th Marking Period (MP4) in late March or April.
Key Highlights:
Timing: Typically aligns with Easter or Passover. Exact dates vary by district, but it most commonly falls in late March or mid-April.
School Closures: All regular classes, buses, and administrative offices are generally paused for the full week.
Snow Day Buffer: Districts often build emergency/snow days into the schedule; if a school exceeds its allotted snow days during winter, makeup days are sometimes added during Spring Break.
Standardized & AP Exams: For middle and high school students, Spring Break acts as a key study window right before spring standardized testing and May AP (Advanced Placement) exams.
